Factory Acceptance Test (FAT): Our check for top quality
At Zwart we know that precision counts and that is why the FAT is an indispensable part of our process. It is the key to reliability, energy security and satisfied customers. When a complex energy system, such as an emergency power installation or an advanced UPS, is ready to leave the factory, we conduct a thorough and standardized test, the FAT.
Why is this test essential? The answer is simple: quality and precision. The FAT is the final safety net to ensure that every component, switch, circuit and algorithm functions perfectly. The ultimate guarantee for top quality. During a FAT, the system is carefully evaluated and monitored by a team of engineers. They ask the most demanding questions and challenge the system to prove it meets specifications. Everything must be correct before we give it the go-ahead. The result? A peerless top-quality product. We believe that only the very best is good enough, and with the FAT we ensure that we keep that promise.
Site Acceptance Test (SAT): The final step towards energy security
After careful planning, development and manufacturing, the time has come. The brand-new emergency power installation or advanced UPS system has arrived at its destination: your location. We then take one final important step towards ultimate energy security: the Site Acceptance Test, or SAT.
During the SAT, the system is thoroughly assessed and validated at the actual location where it will be deployed. This is where the real challenges are faced – variables such as environmental conditions, connectivity and load are closely observed and evaluated.
But the SAT is more than just a technical assessment. We want to make sure that the system not only works perfectly technically, but also meets your specific needs and expectations.
We understand that power outages are not an option and that is why we do everything we can to ensure that our system delivers the reliability and performance you expect after this crucial test.
ISAT (Integral Site Acceptance test) in consultation with the end customer’s specialist team. All possible scenarios are simulated one by one, and the installation is pushed to the limit to demonstrate that the installation continues to function fully under all possible real-life situations.

Extensive fluid analysis program
Zwart has implemented a new professionally integrated fluid sampling system for engine oil, coolant / anti-corrosion and fuel called ZIVAP (Zwart Intelligent Fluid Analysis Program).
One single lab where all results are submitted and analyzed. This provides a 3D analysis supported by professional input from specialists in the maintenance strategy and identification of possible malfunctions or wear of parts in your installation.
ZIVAP combines oil, coolant and fuel data into an integrated overview in a single platform. It can establish relationships between the analyses and is able to trace the cause of wearing parts due to contaminated fuels to oil, antifreeze and/or a combination of all three.
This gives an extra dimension to being able to determine in detail the multi-year maintenance needs that we advise our customers.

We can also offer a comprehensive health assessment of your UPS system, assessing its age, reliability, component obsolescence and efficiency. This produces a lifecycle report that indicates potential future expenses, along with replacement costs for both OPEX and CAPEX budgets. REVISIONS AND UPGRADES
Lifespan extension: always in top condition
A perfectly functioning system is never an excuse for us to sit back, quite the opposite. We are committed to continuous maintenance and conduct overhauls and upgrades, focusing on the electrical and mechanical components and software of the control system. This way we make sure your energy system is always in optimal condition and we extend its lifespan.
During the life of the installation, we ensure an immediately accessible health status of your installation with our extensive liquid analysis program ZIVAP. Combined with the extensive decades of engineering experience of the systems supplied and maintained by us, this provides a sense of the need for revisions and/or upgrades. Every year in Q4, we review this status with our customers and determine together for the following year what work is needed to keep the installations in tip-top shape.

INSPECTIONS AND INSPECTIONS
Always meet all requirements
At Zwart we strive for absolute reliability and safety in our installations. We know that this depends not only on the quality of the equipment, but so too on careful testing and inspections. Our dedicated engineers are not only IEC 3140 and 3840 certified, which allows them to work with both low and high voltage installations, but several of them are also SCIOS certified as inspectors to conduct inspections according to SCIOS scope 4 (for combustion engines) and scope 7c (for fuel and oil supply lines).
All our people are trained on VCA, NEN3140 (low voltage), NEN 3840 (high voltage), a wide variety of operating systems such as Comap, Deepsea, Deif, Woodward, MTU, CAT, Cummins, etc. And of course, they to through rigorous training on various specific matters at our very own Zwart Academy.
Every two and four years, our installations with a capacity of 20kW/24KVA or more are obligated by law to be assessed and inspected. These obligations ensure that our systems meet all requirements and standards, and that you are assured of reliable energy systems. Zwart is rightfully proud that our SCIOS inspection platform allows us to pass the annual tough SCIOS audits with flying colors every year. The knowledge and experience that we gain ourselves is also fully utilized to help and advise our customers in the field of the latest legislation and regulations.
Upgrades for existing controls
For business-critical systems and facilities where 100% power is vital 100% of the time, the reliability of the emergency power system is essential for a continuous power supply during disruptions or failures of the electricity grid. The most common failure with older standby generators is the control system. Zwart Techniek can help you maintain ultimate control over your power protection.
Most generators run very few hours during their lifetime and with regular maintenance the engine and generator can be dependable and sometimes last more than twenty years. But as the control systems that run your generators age, they can fail and no longer be supported by technological advances. Control upgrades allow your existing standby power system to take full advantage of technological advances in generator controls without replacing the generator sets themselves, providing a cost-effective method to upgrade your critical power systems.
Zwart Techniek can conduct a full-service replacement where we `take an inventory on location and, if necessary and possible, we can reverse engineer the controls if drawings and diagrams have been lost or are incomplete.
