You ensure it keeps working.
Service Engineers

You keep it running.
A system that works today needs to do the same tomorrow. At Zwart, you maintain emergency power systems, UPS systems or BESS battery storage solutions for environments where nothing can be allowed to come to a halt.
You measure, inspect and identify what needs attention before anyone else even notices there’s a problem. From regular maintenance to solving an issue at a client site, you ensure that the technology is ready to perform when it matters most.
From maintenance to certainty.
As a service engineer, you visit clients throughout the Netherlands. You carry out preventive maintenance, inspect components and test whether the system works as it should. If a fault occurs, you identify the reason behind it and provide a solution that keeps on working long after you’ve gone.

You know what you’re doing.
You work independently, with colleagues you can rely on if you need support. You discuss technical issues, share your observations and coordinate with other specialists when necessary. Throughout all this, you keep the client up to date with what you find and which actions you carry out.
Whether working at data centres, hospitals or industrial locations, you document your work and give advice on maintenance and the next steps to take. You travel to client sites equipped with the tools and testing equipment required to carry out your job.
How you make it work.
- Depending on your role, you may be working on:
- Preventive maintenance for emergency power systems, UPS systems or BESS battery storage systems;
- Inspecting, measuring and testing components and the system’s performance;
- Identifying deviations and advising on repair or replacement;
- Analysing and resolving faults at client sites;
- Checking and testing systems after maintenance or repair;
- Coordinating technical aspects with colleagues, specialists and the client;
- Reporting your tasks performed, measurement results and observations in the service management software system;
- Working at client sites throughout the Netherlands and in our on-call emergency response team, depending on your role.
Because failure is not an option.
A small deviation can tell you a lot. It may be an unusual measurement. Or a component that’s showing signs of wear. You recognise what needs attention and determine what that means for the performance of the system you’re working on.
You carry out an inspection, ask further questions and take the time to understand the root cause. After maintenance or repair work, you test it all again. You only consider the job done once everything is working perfectly.
After all, the system may be connected to a data centre that has to keep running. An operation that has to proceed. A production line that cannot grind to a halt. If everything works as it should, nobody notices what you’ve done to make that happen. But you know exactly what you had to do, and why.
After all, you know what’s at risk.

“You want to always be a step ahead, before anyone else even notices there’s anything wrong.”
