For Beyond in Hoek van Holland, we delivered a 3.2 MW / 6 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) for grid balancing. The system enables Beyond to import energy from the grid during low-cost periods and
export surplus power during peak demand or high-price periods, turning price fluctuations into a source of revenue. As the core of this hybrid energy system, the BESS both stores and sells energy, a strategy that maximizes profit potential and can equally be applied to renewable energy sources by charging during off-peak hours and discharging during peak hours. The project has been fully delivered, giving Beyond a flexible, reliable energy storage solution with a strong focus on energy trading.
